All attention lately has been on the closet addition and this post fits that category as well. It should probably come when the project is complete but, who knows when that will be so, I'm posting it now.
My niece is good at scouting out gifts that suit the receiver and fit that person's taste. According to her, this one fell into her lap. One of the hats she wears is "rehabber" and one day in early December she was having a closet painted on one of her projects. When she arrived to check on the job she saw my Christmas present scattered on the floor. What luck! She scooped them up and added a personal touch before she presented them to me.
Those vintage wooden hangers are now patiently waiting for the rod they will hang on to be installed.
Some of them even reveal their origin.
Stephanie personalized them with an appropriate quote tied to each hanger. I'm planning to display those quotes in my new closet as I think they are delightful.
As you can see, the closet was not quite ready for them in late December, but lots of progress has been made since then.
As of today, the drywall is up and painted as shown in this shot taken inside the closet (not that you can tell, but look for a follow up post on the closet by the end of the week.)

I will leave you with this piece of advice from Coco Chanel.
