The End of the Bathroom Debate

Something I pondered for years is finally happening!  Nothing in my 42 years of rehabbing this house has been mulled over and debated as much as this project. Remodels were done over the years to this bath, but none really addressed all the issues.. I have blogged about this room a couple times here   and oops, I guess nowhere else.  That means I might have to check the old   photo box to give you some samples. Okay,   I found a few snapshots of this bathroom that date back to 1977. This is how it looked when I bought the house.  The toilet was in a separate room adjacent to this one.  That is the same medicine cabinet, the same sconce lights, and the same tub that remain in this bathroom until today. DOMINO EFFECT

First of all, I have excuses for not posting recently.  I won't bore you with all of them if you will humor me by listening to just two.  My friend of 45 years agreed to visit me for five whole days. (It ended up being 4.5 but I don't think it was because of anything I did.)  Anyway, in preparation, I decided to fix the hot water knob on the bathroom sink.  It started turning hard several months ago and grew steadily worse.  My wrist grew steadily stronger so I considered it a trade off.  However, at some point it was going to refuse to budge or fall apart, so company was the push I needed to have it replaced. This involved a bit of shopping to find a faucet I could live with without taking out a loan.  I'm lucky to have brothers who do this type thing for a living so I was able to get it installed promptly.  Mission accomplished!  S o you would think.
