Horror Vacui

I have been very busy preparing for a yard sale to clear some space in my studio so I have room to work.  Yesterday I took a little time out to get my hair colored.  As I was leaving the salon, I slipped thru the service alley to pick up an iced coffee one block over.  On the way back to my car via the same  route, I spotted something that was blocked from my view on the way over.
 

I blinked when I saw it but it was still there when my eyes few open.

It definately has character.

I sort of expected it to fall apart when I touched it.

There had to be a good reason it was in the, "take it if you want it" sector.

I was a little too excited to see this until I took it out of my car when I arrived home.  I don't think it's a really big deal but I'll have to get a consultation on that.

 Isn't there a law that says when you clear a space nature will suck something in to fill it?  I'm not one to break the law, be it physics or otherwise.
