This is a little item I picked up at a yard sale for next to nothing.
I knew it would come in handy now and again. It was probably meant to hold Christmas cards, but we know there are lots of other items that can be arranged behind these clips. Time went by and no good excuse to use it popped up until...
..someone asked me if I would like some tintypes from the 1800's. Evidently these were quite popular in the 1860's and 1870's.
Of course I said, yes, because I knew right off how I would display them.
And I'm pleased to say they look good tucked into this easel holder.
Now that I placed it here for the photo, I think I might have to find another spot for my globe and old time paper cutter.
It never hurts to rearrange the vignettes to give the room a fresh look.
PS: As I said, it never hurts to rearrange. A few weeks after the above post, I did just that.

Autumn colors don't really fit with my décor on the first floor. So I added these leaves to the same room seen in the first part of this post.
I moved the picture holder to this area too.
This cabinet brings the pictures closer to eye level.
I like this arrangement better, but I will have to rearrange again once the fall colors fade away.
I missed this post....unique holder you found!
