It's a little odd to show you finishing touches when I haven't written about some of the major parts of rehab. There is a post in the wings gathering dust while I wait, and wait for the island counter to be cut and ready for pick up. There have been some annoying slow downs with that process so I moved on to something to take my mind off the wait.
There are many hard surfaces in a kitchen and few opportunities to soften things. One way is to add window treatments.
With windows that open into the room, there is little room for fabric unless you cover the glass. That's not an option here as I want to be able to see out and also let in as much light as possible.
So a teeny little valance is it for this window.
The bulk of the fabric went to this window.
That pitcher looks a little sad without a huge bouquet of flowers. My hydrangeas provided me with one bouquet this year and then just stopped blooming. My neighbor complained of the same problem so I guess we blame it on all that rain and very little sunshine.
I decided to take a few more shots with different lighting.

OK, that's it for now. I just got a call that the counter top is ready for pick-up. I'm doing cartwheels! (figuratively speaking, of course)
