Although there are still many things to finish on the longest rehab ever, the first floor apartment is now ready for the first tenants. The work will continue on the second story apartment and the exterior, and there will be posts as that moves along. But for now: A few shots of a lovely, spacious apartment.
An entry large enough for a console table/cabinet. A small chair with an accent table would work as well.
As you walk from the front door down the hallway you pass the door to the basement on the left. Past the arch is the bathroom door and then the laundry room entrance. The hall opens up to the kitchen on the left and the bedroom on the right. Between those two rooms is the original pantry cabinet shown in the photo below.
Before moving on to the rest of the rooms, let's back up to show the laundry room .
A peek into the bathroom shows the large linen storage cabinet.
And next to that is a roomy shower.
On the opposite side a 42" vanity with drawers and more storage.
The peninsula seats three easily and there is room to dance as you whip up something wonderful.
The bedroom has a large double door closet as well as a smaller closet behind the entry door.
Although I don't have a shot showing it, there are two large windows in this room.
The dining room has a beamed ceiling and a fireplace that add character to the room. For safety the fireplace in non-functioning.
From the living room looking into the dining room, it's obvious there is plenty of room to entertain.
The living room also has a mantel and a pocket door to the entry as well as between the dining room and living room.
It's a lovely apartment on Humphrey Street in Tower Grove Heights. Off street parking behind a fenced in back yard is another plus for this property.
